Leading human rights activist, Philip Baldwin has forged a respectable reputation for his passions surrounding raising awareness of LGBT+ issues, homelessness, faith inclusion and HIV. Diagnosed with HIV at 24 years of age, Philip is passionate about eliminating the stigma surrounding the disease and helps others to find the positives in their diagnosis. Formerly working in financial services in London, Philip now commits his time to advocating for a plethora of human rights along with LGBT+ rights, HIV awareness and other social issues such as homelessness. A columnist in the Gay Times, Philip has also authored his own book titled Positive Damage– exploring his expertise on stigma. Diagnosed with HIV, Philip is passionate about eliminating the stigma surrounding the disease and supports others through their diagnosis.
Alongside his work as an advocate, Philip has also supported various charities, including Positively UK, the Albert Kennedy Trust, the Terrence Higgins Trust, Rainbow and Stonewall. He has also been named a Stonewall Role Model and acted as a Trustee of the Ozanne Foundation. He has also supported the UK Lesbian and Gay Immigration Group and been an Ambassador of Stonewall.
