Having known and worked with Sally through her roles in the LGBT+ voluntary and community sector for some years, I had the pleasure of hearing her speak at the IUKI Youth Workers conference. Sally has the ability to capture the room in such a calm, warming and approachable way that you cannot do anything other than listen. This calm but very knowledgeable approach helps draw the audience in and keep the messages being shared sharp.
Sally takes a participative leadership approach to her speaking, as I believe she does to her work, ensuring that the focus is on the topic, the context, and the collective expertise that surrounds this and not herself.
