Bobbi Pickard is an industry-leading diversity, equity and inclusion consultant, who has enjoyed a successful career in senior operational and programme management roles within the technology, banking and energy sectors. Famed as the first openly transgender person at BP, Bobbi has made it her mission to transform transgender awareness globally. Currently a Diversity & Inclusion Consultant for BP, Bobbi is an incredibly active campaigner for transgender awareness and education. Now booked as an LGBT+ speaker, Bobbi runs training and awareness programmes for LGBT+ rights in a range of corporate, public and educational settings.

Enjoying a successful career in the tech, banking and energy sectors, Bobbi began her career as an Avionics Engineer for BAE Systems IT. Since then, she has enjoyed a variety of other roles including being a Web and Windows Manager for BP, a Senior Project and Programme Manager for Barclays Capital and Head of Windows, Web and Virtualisation Systems for BNP Paribas. In 2021, Bobbi became a Diversity & Inclusion Consultant for BP, in reward of her passionate work in transforming transgender awareness throughout the global company. She is also the Co-Chair of BP Pride’s Transgender Group, instrumental in changing the level of education about transgender issues globally.

Bobbi is also famed as the CEO of Trans In The City. Created back in 2017, Trans In The City is an organisation dedicated to increasing cooperative working between global corporates and the trans and non-binary community. Today, Bobbi has transformed Trans In The City into a global organisation that boasts an impressive 350 major collaborating organisations, determined to further trans awareness worldwide.

Throughout her career, Bobbi has made many achievements, such as being the first trans person to ever close the London Stock Exchange. She has also claimed the Rainbow Honours LGBTQ Champion Award 2019, the Nestle Diversity Champion Award at the 2020 British LGBT Awards, the Diversity Hero Award at the European Diversity Awards 2021 and been a business nominee at the 2021 Diva Awards. She has also been named No.1 on the Yahoo Finance OUTstanding 50 LGBT+ Future Leaders List 2019, on the PWC Stonewall 50 Inspirational Role Models 2019 and on the Pride Power List 2020 and 2021. Most recently, Bobbi was named the Changemaker of the Year 2022 by Stonewall.
