Christina Vegas is a proud trans woman, internationally acclaimed performer, award-winning writer and producer, and an inspiring keynote speaker. With over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry, she has built a career defined by both artistic excellence and authentic advocacy. From the world’s largest cruise liners to some of Canada’s most prestigious theatres, Christina’s journey has blended high-profile performance with groundbreaking moments in representation. Beginning her career as a multi-vocal impersonator, Christina quickly rose to prominence as a featured headliner on international cruise ships, casino showrooms, corporate events, and USO tours in Bosnia and Kosovo, where she performed for the US and UN Peacekeeping Forces. She has lit up stages such as the Royal Alexandra Theatre, FirstOntario Concert Hall, and the Charlottetown Festival Theatre. In 2024, Christina made history by becoming the first trans woman to play the lead trans character in any professional North American production of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, with Drayton Entertainmen – a landmark moment that cemented her as a trailblazer for transgender representation in the performing arts.

Alongside her stage career, Christina is an award-winning screenwriter, producer and director whose work has been featured at nine international film festivals. Her psychological thriller She Came Back, starring Colm Feore (Umbrella Academy) and Amybeth McNulty (Anne with an E, Stranger Things), is currently streaming on Apple TV. Her musical comedy No Chance in Hell became a Toronto International Fringe Festival sensation, winning both Best of Fest and Patron’s Pick awards, with 95% of seats sold. Christina’s projects have also reached Broadway, where a star-studded staged reading of No Chance in Hell featured Tony nominee Robert Cuccioli (Jekyll and Hyde) and Chilina Kennedy (Beautiful: The Carole King Story).
