Highly accomplished footballer, Jill Scott MBE is a well-known professional player who has represented the top teams in the Women’s Super League. As a legendary veteran player with international exposure and more than 16 years as a Lioness, Jill has many amazing anecdotes to share. In her speaking engagements, she eloquently discusses several topics relating to women in football, peak performance, performing under pressure and motivation.
Starting her professional career with Sunderland, Jill quickly proved herself to be an outstanding player and rapidly earned a Women’s Player of the Month award for her high performance. Following her time at Sunderland, she joined Everton’s WSL team and was selected to represent the WSL as a digital media ambassador to help raise awareness for them. During the same period, she won the FA Women’s Premier League Cup and the FA Women’s Cup. Later Jill made the move to Manchester City and was then loaned to Aston Villa and Everton.
With plenty of international exposure, Jill was the captain of the U-19 side and joined the senior squad in the 2006 match against the Netherlands to accomplish a phenomenal victory score of 4-0. Moreover, Jill joined the 2007 World Cup team and played in the majority of the matches. For her impressive international and domestic performances, she was selected to join the 2009 UEFA Women’s European Championships where she played a pivotal role in England reaching the final. In 2011, Jill was included in the FIFA Women’s World Cup squad.
In recognition of her exceptional professional career, Jill was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire for her service to women’s football. With over 150 appearances, Jill was one of the most senior members of the Lionesses and most recently she played in the 2022 UEFA Women’s Euro Squad alongside legendary players, Leach Williamson, Fran Kirby, and Ellen White. The team won the tournament in the most outstanding fashion and has made the UK very proud. Following her retirement from the game, Jill has been selected as a contestant for the 2022 showing of ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’. Jill is now available to be booked for speaking engagements and captivates the audience in her sessions with fascinating anecdotes and shares her profound insight into women’s football.
